Arrived just before they stopped serving lunchtime food. But the lady was very accommodating and served us. I go fairy frequently and love the Sunday roasts. It is also has a great play area for kids (during summer) and lots of animals. All in all, it's a great place to visit.

It is a great place to stay with family. Grass and flowers are beautifully planted. They have a very good playarea for kids. We enjoy the food and drinks by the pub.

Beautiful old pub. Great food and service, has a play area for kids and also a small farm area. Highly recommend but if eating suggest you book.

Enjoyed a lovely impromptu meal here as we passed by. Couldn't fault anything we had and the service was exceptional.

We were absolutely blown away by the facilities at The House in the Tree in Cheltenham. This pub goes above and beyond to cater to families, offering a petting zoo, a children’s football pitch, and a massive play garden with a climbing frame. They even have an ice cream hut, which was a delightful treat for the kids. Although we had already eaten before arriving, we couldn't resist trying the food and ordered a lasagna to share. It was outstanding! The kids' meals are also a fantastic deal at just £5.75 each. Jason, the landlord, was incredibly kind and gave our son some food to feed the animals, which made his day. It's very rare to find somewhere that caters so well to families. We spent over two hours there, and our little boy didn't want to leave! We’re so glad we came and cannot wait to visit again. Great pub. Lovely animals in the garden,( like a mini zoo). There's a nice play area for children. Varirty of very tasty and adventurous food, good selection of beers, really friendly staff and customers. A homely snug bar off the restaurant area. Seperate area to watch the footie. What more could you wish for.

Visited 21/04: the food was really good, highly recommend the pork roast. What made a lovely dinner disappointing was the staff. We knew there was a 2 hour limit on how long you had a table for however the service was not quick enough to factor the time limit in. We never “took our time” ordering or hindered the process yet when we were barely halfway through dessert a member of staff condescendingly said “you knew you had a time limit when you booked”. How is it our fault that the ordering and clearing of tables was delayed? If you’re going to have strict time limits then your service and your clearing away plates between courses needs to be way more quicker. Somewhat accessible, narrow doorways and sloped flooring. Step into ladies toilets.

Went here last Wednesday for a meal for two, place was very busy due to Christmas parties etc but we didn't have to wait too long for our table. I ordered the Twice Roasted Belly Pork, Normal Mash, Tender-stem Broccoli, Apple & Sage Jam & a Cider & Dijon Cream. I had this dish earlier in the year here and it was absolutely fantastic again. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly too. Looking forward to my next visit in the new year... :-)

A proper country pub with a proper Sunday roast, good atmosphere & friendly staff. Oct'24 update: back again for Sunday Roast and it's still excellent! We also managed to squeeze some pudding in, which unsurprisingly is also great. :-D

Fantastic value roast pork Sunday lunch with delicious gravy. Genuinely lovely waiting staff. The lady on the phone was slightly frantic when I booked, but I did phone during Saturday lunch when it was probably busy, so fair enough. I recommend booking a few days ahead and not the day before, like we did! The country walk was pretty stunning too.
