Customers come last. Beware The process for scheduling the work to remove our tree was painful. Yoda insisted we weren’t in a conservation area so would not submit the necessary permit. He even sent us a map to prove his point, but it clearly showed we were in a conservation area. He eventually submitted an obviously rushed version as his request stated, “Tree has become top lager for the garden and no viable option to reduce.” Once the work was scheduled, we managed to secure parking for his vehicles asking the neighbours to leave the road clear and laying out cones. We waited outside for his scheduled arrival at 9 am to ensure that the road remained clear. No sign. 10 am. No sign. We called. No answer. We texted. No answer. Emailed. No answer. He eventually emailed at 12:30 pm citing staffing issues. We did not receive another proposed date for the work until four days later. By that time, we had lost faith decided to hire a different contractor. We informed Yoda we would no longer need his services. Yoda came to our house and abused us saying we had breached our contract with him. He threatened to go to the council and have our permit rescinded. He told us he would bill us for his time submitting the permit. We heard nothing until three weeks later when we received an invoice for £192 for his work on the permit. You can draw your own conclusions about what that says about his hourly rate.

Yoda gave our monster hedge its annual haircut with great skill and efficiency. No fuss, no bother, good communication. Not much more to say. Highly recommended.

This is the first time I have used Yoda's company but it will not be the last. He was punctual for both the quote and on doing the work (with Steph). A really pleasant and efficient team who did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. It is good to know there are still people who take pride in their work and do not try to charge ridiculous prices. I can't recommend Yoda highly enough.

This is the second time I've used Meadowside Tree care having found them in a search of local tree surgeons. After a review of their site and customer reviews I reached out for a quote for hedge trimming, hazelnut, apple tree and a Field Maple tree prunning so by no means a quick job. Yoda soon got in touch to provide a quote and I found him extremely knowledgeable and down to earth so felt more than happy placing my garden in his care. His quotation came back as very reasonable which sealed the deal. Splitting the job across two days (the first delayed due to sickness but we quickly rescheduled) on both days Yoda arrived promptly and worked diligently. I was surprised at how tidy he left our garden and drive after he was complete even removing extra fallen leaves for us off of the drive (which was a lot!) Both times I was extremely happy with the result and would happily use them again.

Yoda was recommended by a friend. From the moment my call was answered promptly and efficiently handled, to visiting and quoting for the work and completing the work on the dates agreed and leaving the site tidy, I could not fault Yoda and his team. The work undertaken was removal of some coniferous hedging, reducing the height and trimming back others. A highly efficient and professional but friendly business that was a pleasure to deal with.

I had a large old apple tree that was going rotten and starting to look in danger of splitting in two, also 4 problematic ash trees that also needed dealing with / removing. Also my neighbour had a large Sycamore growing next to our fence which we both of agreed needed to be removed. Yoda was punctual for an initial appraisal, was very friendly and offered sound advice on how to proceed. His estimate was very professionally drawn up and was very good value for money. Although Yoda and his team couldn't turn up on the first agreed date due to illness, he gave me ample advance notice, proposing a new and acceptable date/time for which he was again was very punctual. His team were friendly and efficent, and performed all of the work with the minimum of fuss and did a great job of clearing up after them. I would have no problem in recommending them for for anybody who needs similar tree work in their gardens.

Yoda and Fred provided us with a professional & efficient service, from quotation to carrying out the work through to final site clearance. Excellent job. 2 x 30ft trees taken down carefully and efficiently. On time, polite and very helpful. Cleaned up afterwards and even took away some extra branches. Would highly recommend Meadowside.

Meadowside recently did a removal of 5 fir trees and a bi-annual cut-back of a large mixed tree border. I am very pleased with the job. Yoda came promptly and took a careful brief. The guys turned up promptly on the date/time agreed to do the work. They were careful to reconfirm the detail of the brief before they started. They did an excellent job. They were professional and very polite. They took great care to avoid damage to my garden (which was waterlogged at the time). Faultless work and service I have used them once before I had the same experience then. I will definitely use them again

We have repeatedly used Meadowside to manage our trees and shrubs. Yoda and Rick not only offer a fantastic service, but offer genuinely useful advice on how to manage the trees so they thrive and grow. When they leave there is never any sign that they have been on the floor, they clean everything and the garden looks superb. Very friendly and trustworthy guys who work hard. I have and will continue to refer to my friends and family. A great local provider who offers a QUALITY service at a very competitive price.
